What am I responsible for?
Health and beauty aids, clothing, transportation, copay for doctors’ visits, and medications.
How are my medications stored?
Medications are stored in a locked cabinet and are supervised as per the doctor's orders.
What nursing oversight is provided?
Our nurse makes regular weekly visits and is available on call 24 hours a day for consultation and emergencies.
I'm a wartime veteran, will my benefits help pay for my stay there?
Yes, we are approved to accept the aid and attendance benefit.
Are pets allowed?
Each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure the comfort and safety of everyone in the home.
Do you accept my insurance?
Medicare generally does not cover this level of care. Some private plans may provide benefits depending on your policy.
Is smoking permitted in my room?
Newton’s Guest Home is a smoke free residence. Residents who smoke may do so in the designated outdoor areas.
Is transportation available?
Private transportation is available for a small fee. Hunterdon County also offers public transportation services five days per week.
